No preparation is needed for improvisations.
 
Future exercises and improvisations will explore unpredictability, vulnerability, balancing structure and instinct, and embracing unapologetic generosity towards scene partners and your work.
Improvisation provides freedom to experiment with your abilities, unburdened by pre-conceived results. Acting coach Larry Moss says actors should be brave, go big, and not worry about the camera’s limitations. It’s the director’s responsibility to tone things down at your party if it’s getting out of hand. Otherwise, you could end up censoring yourself too soon and not fully explore your entire range.
 
It would be great if you have a monologue (half a page to one page) from a play (not a movie) ready.
 
One or two can do a monologue in the end if they want. Improvisation is the main part; monologues are entirely optional.

“This improv acting class is not for absolute beginners to acting or performance. Participants should have some prior experience.

This class focuses on psychological realism over comedy. We work with silence, truthful reactions, and impulsive play, moving beyond the ‘gag-driven’ style of traditional theatersports. All that said, it’s an excellent practice for actors learning to be believably present without holding back.”

whereas non-members can take part for a fee of 15 euros for a two to three-hour session.
