ReWilding Narratives: Change the Narrative – Change Society

An Ecological Psychology Workshop
How can I be responsible for that which I love?

with Lori Pye, Ph.D.

August 3 – 7 Workshop. Time: 10am – 5pm.
Sat 8th- ReWilding Excursion
Sun 9th- Digesting and Processing

We live with an amazingly intra-active planet that expresses complex narratives and behavior through ongoing sympoietics of energy exchange, diversity-multiplicity, composting-regeneration, change, and relationship. Humans, as ecological beings, express complex narratives and behavior through these very same planetary processes. The challenges all lifeforms face today – climate disruptions, ecocide, culturecide, and genocide – are deeply rooted in human narratives and behaviors.

The ReWilding Narratives Workshop offers a deep dive into the unique approach ecological psychology offers to unearth, explore, and reconfigure narratives underpinning detrimental practices. Social-cultural-political bodies do not change on their own – changing the narrative changes the behavior and thus we do things differently as a part of a shared world.
By taking our nature into nature, participants explore narratives through each of planetary processes, develop sesnoring attunement, enrich their ecosystem via discussions, journaling, walks and excursions, and conclude the workshop with a ReWilding Psyche Experience.

Our aim – perhaps not so easy but well worth our effort: to nudge along more ethical, responsible narratives for living and dying well together.

Day 1 MON (Humans are ecological, Energy)
Day 2 TU (Diversity)
Day 3 WED (Decay & Regeneration; Composting)
Day 4 THU (Change)
Day 5 FRI (Relationality)
Day 6 SAT ReWilding
Day 7 SUN Morning 10-1 – Process

„My ability to perceive the natural world that I walk through daily is a gift I once took for granted. Now, nature in its many forms is my partner in the continuing development of my psychology. Diving into ecopsychology has connected me to a wealth of generational narratives and behaviors that have been unconscious and destructive. There is no better time in history than now to be a part of changing the course of civilization through dedication to the preservation of our earth and all species. Humankind needs more leaders to step forward who can use a transdisciplinary toolbox of Ecopsychological solutions. Few graduate programs can offer an online program as comprehensive and well-rounded as what I have received from Viridis Graduate Institute.Maria / Master of Arts and Doctor of Arts Programs – Viridis Graduate Institute
